Global Warming: It is Killing us here in TX!

Today it snowed almost all afternoon. This is the third snow of the month. It hasn't snowed a total of three time in the past two years let alone this early in the winter and three times in one month. Thank goodness we have our new Liberal President to get rid of all of this Global Warming; great job so far! He really is a miracle worker; NOT!

We thought that we would let every one know that the Dallas Cowboys made the playoffs!! Go Cowboys!!!

Christmas: Take Three

After our Christmas Morning ended the kids could not wait to get outside in the snow. They built a couple of snowmen, made snow angels and a snow ball fight or two broke out! We spend the late afternoon and evening enjoying our new presents and games and had our traditional grilled Ribs for dinner!

We had a great Christmas Morning. We woke up to a white Christmas!

Christmas: Take One

We all had a very blessed Christmas! We went to the Christmas Eve Mass at 4pm. When we got out of Church there was several inches of snow covering everything! You talk about putting you in the Christmas spirit; going to Mass to Celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and then having it snow and snow and snow.....wow! We then, as per our tradition drove around (yes even in the "Great Texas Blizzard", everything is relative!) and looked at Christmas lights. We then made it home and baked cookies for Santa Claus. The kids put out the cookies and some reindeer food! Memory maker of an evening; I know Hayley and I will always remember it. I hope the kids do!

The older kids all woke up around the same time and woke up the rest of us. Brody celebrated his first Christmas. After we all woke up somewhat we enjoyed what Santa had brought all of us!

"Catch-up" Post

I will be posting some Christmas photos shortly. But, realized that I probably needed to up date everyone on some happening since my last post.

1) After 11 months of working with Farmers, the sign company, the City of Denton, and the Historical committee I was able to be approved and my new sign was installed for my office; yes 11 months!

2) We went to an awesome Birthday party a few weeks ago for a friend of Drake and Mason's from our baseball team. Along with the Father's versus son's football game; which the Father's dominated. We were able to ride some go carts. Had a blast.

3) We all went to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine (about 30 minutes away) and had an AWESOME time in the HUGE indoor water park. All of the kids had an absolute BLAST. Brody, Kade and Sage loved the wave pool and kid area. Drake and Mason couldn't get enough of the slides.

4) We all attended the annual Knight of Columbus Christmas Party. Santa was there and the kids were able to visit with him.

5) And, of course after several days of work and with MUCH help we got our Christmas Tree and decorations up!

Brody Quinn's First Snow

We woke today to the first snow of the year; Brody's first snow! This is the earliest that it has snowed on us here in North Texas since we got here in 1997. The kids love it. It lasted on the ground for about two hours until the rain melted it all away. We can't wait until the next snow storm.
